The 22 year-old scholar of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 Chivas Anton Maluinda - “The Student Husband”from Tanjay, Negros Oriental is expelled from the academy due to his health condition. The academy has decided to expel Chivas for his own sake, for health condition and well-being. During his short stay in the academy he (Chivas) suffered from hyperventilation and migraine which affected his performance as well as to his wife, co-scholar Bunny Malunda- “The Teacher Wife”.

The voting for the two Probationary scholars Iñaki and Laarni is now officially closed.

Who will be the next probationary scholars?

Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao vs. David Diaz

The most awaited match is near to come. The “Lethal Combination”. A fight between a Filipino boxing champion at all times, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and WBC lightweight boxing champion David Diaz in a 12-round title boxing. This big event will happen on June 28 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and will be aired on Philippine television, Sunday June 29, 2008.

Who will take hold of the belt? Who will grab the title “WBC Lightweight champion”?

“Princess of the Stars”, a passenger ship carrying an estimated 800 people owned by Sulpicio Lines Inc. , capsized off the waters of Sibuyan Island, Romblon last Sunday June 22, 2008. The ship reportedly sailed last Friday June 20 at around 5pm from the port of Manila going to Cebu. But unfortunately, they were faced by a deadly typhoon somewhere in Romblon.

As of June 22, 2008, 10 people from the ferry are known to have made it to land. So far six bodies were found ashore, along with children’s slippers and life jackets.

Officials were still checking news that several survivors might have reached one nearby island for a life raft was spotted.

Relatives of the passengers as of the ship’s crew went to the Manila office Sulpicio Lines. Mixed emotions was felt by the relatives of the victims, they were very sad and worried and at the same time very angry with the company as well as coast guard. They were clueless on what had happen to their families and friends.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo scolded the coast guard officials through a teleconference aired live on nationwide radio last Sunday, questioned them why the ferry is allowed to leave Manila despite the bad weather.

Some survivors stated, estimated about 100 people could have survived, but according to them many were trapped inside the ferry. Many passengers hesitated from jumping turbulent waters. They were afraid of big waves which are described as big as mountains. Most of the survivors jumped off the ferry in courage. Some are alive; some did not make it to the shore. Others made to ride on a life raft and faced the big waves.

As of June 24,2008 there are 58 survivors, an estimated 50-70 casualties and about 700 missing ( 600 are believed to be still inside the capsized ferry)

All we can do now is to pray to our Lord God for the victims of the tragedy, hoping for some survivors who still alive maybe in the nearby shores And pray for the relatives of the victims to be strong in facing the truth.

GABBY CONCEPCION CLAUDINE BARETTO DIETHER OCAMPO

Included in the cast are Susan Roces, Laurice Guillen, Cherie Pie Picache, Angelica Panganiban, Matt Evans and Melissa Ricks. Asia’s Nightingale, Lani Misalucha, sings the theme song of Iisa Pa Lamang and this teleserye is directed by Ruel Bayani and Manny Palo.

It will bring all televiewers to the world of distrust, hypocrisy, greed and grudges.

“Bea Alonzo and Jake Cuenca”, now the rumored love team in real life in the show business. According to the news, outside the restaurant of ABS-CBN compound they were seen very sweet with each other. In fact, Bea chose Jake Cuenca for her leading man in the Philippine remake of Betty La Fea, during a recent press interview. What will be the outcome of BEA-JAKE love team? Successful or not? Let’s find out…

On the other hand, Katrina Halili and Dennis Trillo who starred the new drama series in GMA “Magdusa Ka” were also believed to be love team in real life. They were caught by GMA News team very lovable and upon seeing the camera they stayed away from the place. Hmmmm….i smell something fishy huh….Do you???

ABS-CBN’s news anchor Ces Drilon together with cameramen Jimmy Encarnacion and Angelo Valderama are now finally free from their bandits. They were abducted while trying to enter the island in Jolo,Sulu hoping they could interview a member of a communist group. They were kidnapped by armed men believed to be members of the Abu Sayyaf Group. After being kidnapped for nine days Ces stated that she and cameramen were close to losing their lives. She expressed her regrets in pursuing to enter the island. According to Ces “I put the lives of my team in danger so it was really a very sobering experience to me”. When she was asked on going to the island again, she then said “I don’t think my office and my family would allow me to go there ( Sulu ).

She was very thankful to all people who offered prayers for them as well as to the Philippine government.

I’m pretty sure that Angel Locsin’s fans will be out of their ways upon hearing the news about “Marian Rivera replacing Angel Locsin to be on the number one spot on FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the Philippines.

From being the queen in Maxim Hot list this year, Angel Locsin is the recent darling to top this year’s FHM Philippines Most Sexiest Women. She had placed number one many times before so it would not be a surprise if she’s going to make it this year. But again rumors had spread that it would be the newcomer Marian Rivera who will be on the top spot this year….Still we can never tell…We’ll wait until FHM Philippines announces the official tally.
